My husband and I came ventured to Fremont to hike the Mission Peak and decided to grab brunch prior to the hike. I didn't have any expectations since it's bee tough to find good brunch spots in the Bay.
To my surprise, Skillet'z was really good! And I'm a picky food critic. Definitely get their one of their milkshakes. You won't be disappointed. I got the oreo milkshake and it was delicious. I am not really a sandwich person and really liked their sandwich. Can't get over how surprisingly good this place is.
Pro tip: if you like crispy potatoes, get their hashbrown extra crispy. It tasted way better than my husband's which he got regular. -

Got here at 220pm, we were told they closed at 240, rushes our order. But the door and yelp say they close at 3pm?! OK.
Really bummed that they turn off their coffee machines 45 minutes before they close? That's what they're popular for! There was no excuse for it either aside from "we turned it off already."
Definitely felt the rush because after 2 minutes of sitting down, we were asked what we wanted to order.
Another lady was cleaning up our table and kept saying "no rush," sure because you kept cleaning our table.
I wish I could love this place because we came from Daly City just to try it out. Just a good ol' breakfast place, taste like you can make it yourself but hay.. maybe I'll give it another try another time. -

Came here for a breakfast hangout with a couple of my good friends! It's a cute little spot in Niles and I heard it's pretty poppin' now, so it's best to arrive early.
There's a pretty extensive list of food with many options. Apparently, they're also very well-known for their iced coffees! I decided on the Denver omelette (ham, bell peppers, and onions). You get your choice of cheese, potatoes/fruit, and a side of toast. All in all, it was a lot of delicious food (get the hash-browns as a side, you won't regret it)! I ended up taking half of it home, haha! The servers were also very helpful and attentive, greeting me upon arrival and quick with seating our group.
I would definitely come back/recommend this place to my friends! It also helps that it's across the street from Devout, just in case you need that extra coffee fix! -

We haven't been here in a while because we usually go when we don't have our kids. The stars aligned this day and we finally made it to Skillet'z.
The waitress/host came by to tell us the special saying "my mom made this huge batch of chili releno and it is delicious. My wife ordered the chili releno omelet and I had the meat omelet. I was in between because I wanted to try the biscuits and grave.
This gentleman ordered the biscuits and gravy across the way and was making foodgasm sounds saying "oh my, this is sooo good". I wanted to say "I'll have what she is having." But restraint won this time.
Now to our food. I was hungry so no photo. There was a plethora of meat in the omelet. Linguica, ham, bacon, sausage and pepper jack cheese. The omelet was huge. It was good, I thought I would never say this, but there was almost too much meat.
Now to my wife, as you can see from the picture it is also huge. When my wife bit into it, the face she made told me I did not choose wisely. She loved it!
For the score:
Food: 5 stars because of the the huge portions and that my wife almost melted when she bit into her food.
Service: 5. Man they are just amazing at this department. You feel taken care of. And are confident the food will come out just as amazing.
Value: 4. The food is a little pricey but man, you get so much food.
Until the stars align again or we are brave enough to bring our kids. Hope to see you soon Skillet'z -

Sadly I won't be doing business anymore at this place. I tried relentlessly giving the owner to behave professionally but to no avail. She intensely flirts with my husband in front of me.
The last straw was we we're there was with my dad during Fathers Day. She finally saw my baby in the stroller. She sat us in a spot that wasn't even cool. To make matters worse. The service we got was so slow. Normally it would be prompt even on their busy hours.
The quality of the food was starting to become like IHOP. Heck Denny's was way more impressing then here. I remember one time they were offering eggs Benedict. She asked me one time how was it and I lied to her. But honestly the hollandaise sauce could use more work as in being a thicker sauce and not like a water texture. The pouched eggs were over cooked. The yolk didn't have the runny look the way it normally has.
My husband complains to me every time time about her flirting. After we eat there. It's not how you want you're customers feel after they visit you're business. You're supposed to make customers happy without complaints. And this is one of them.
I can distinguish between good customer service and real flirting. I used to work in retail and public service to know what real customer service is about.
I give her props of trying to revitalize the Niles community but that's it.
We will take our business somewhere else. From there on out.
Peace.
